Every year in January, precious metals enthusiasts tout the "record demand" for Silver Eagle Coins. The US Mint released 3.1M Silver Eagle coins this week to much fanfare. Occasionally, the demand is the result of consumer interest, but sometimes the demand is not correlated to mass market interest at all. We will attempt to dispel the hype and hone in on the facts:
What a remarkable year it has been for the markets, the precious metals industry, and for Texas Precious Metals. Thank you to our valued customers who have helped us build our business into one of the fastest growing private companies in America, let alone the industry.
We received our latest copy of Fortune Magazine at the office this week. Surprisingly, the front cover featured gold (of all things barbarous) on Fortune's 2014 Investor's Guide. The various sections of the Investor's Guide were introduced with pictures of gold. Contrariwise, in a cosmic twist of great irony, none of the investors featured in the magazine actually mentions gold as an investment to consider for the coming year. In fact, gold is not mentioned anywhere in the magazine at all! What is the message here?
Just a quick update concerning Silver Eagles inventory. We will receive our final shipment of Silver Eagles for 2013 on Friday, December 6th. There will be 30,000 coins in the shipment. Once these coins are sold, we will be completely out of stock on Silver Eagles until the new 2014 coins release on January 14th, 2014.
