The Call of the Wild is a limited-edition golden bullion series from the Royal Canadian Mint with the aim to celebrate the Canadian Wildlife. The Call of the Wild series delivered some of the first 99.999% gold coins to the market and the $200 (CAD) face value backed by the federal government of Canada make the coins in this series the highest value of any legal tender gold bullion coin currently available. The reverse side of the 2014 Call of the Wild series coin depicts the fierce profile of a growling cougar. With a reputation for being a stealthy hunter that relies on its keen senses the cougar can survive in the most remote places in the wilderness.
