Texas Precious Metals proudly announces the release of the new 2015 Texas Silver Round, the popular one troy ounce 99.99% pure silver round, the third release in the annual series. The reverse of the one-ounce round features the bust of a Texas white-tailed deer designed by highly acclaimed coin sculptor Heidi Wastweet. “For Texas hunters – and there are a lot of them – there is no more iconic image than a white-tailed buck,” noted Jason Kaspar, CEO of Texas Precious Metals, and 2014 recipient of the Aggie 100 award from Texas A&M University for Fastest Growing Aggie-owned or led company in the world. “We believe the new design will resonate strongly with our customers.” White-tailed deer are the most abundant large-game species in North America, and adult bucks can grow up to six feet in length. According to a recent study, Texas is home to an estimated 3.6 million white-tailed deer, the largest such population among the fifty states. The coins ship in sealed monster boxes (500 rounds), sealed mini-monster boxes (250 rounds) or individually in minimum order quantities of $1,000 on www.texmetals.com. Unlike plastic boxes from the sovereign mints, the Texas Silver Round ships in cold-rolled steel boxes. Texas Precious Metals has sold 1.1 million Texas Silver Rounds into circulation. The mintage for 2013 was 540,000, while the 2014 mintage was 600,000. One of the distinguishing features in the Texas Round series is the purity of each round. Where most silver coins are 99.9% pure, the Texas Silver Round is 99.99% pure, an added degree of purity resulting from a more stringent and complicated refining process. Only the Canadian Mint produces a coin of equal purity.

MONSTER BOX
A “monster box” is an industry term for a standard shipping box containing 500 silver coins. Texas Precious Metals produces the only sealed monster box for privately-minted silver rounds in the world. Unlike the plastic boxes from government mints (with breakable vinyl straps), we produce a durable cold-rolled steel custom box with a beige grey matte powder-coated finish. Monster boxes ship in custom plastic tubes containing 25 rounds each. Additionally, Texas Precious Metals produces the only "mini-monster box" in the industry, which is a half-box containing 250 rounds.
