The St. Helena 10 oz Rectangular Silver Bullion Coin is produced by the East India Trading Company and is guaranteed legal tender by the St. Helena government. The 10-ounce coin holds a face value of 10 pounds.
On the obverse side of the St. Helena Rectangular EIC 10 oz Silver Coin is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured here in right-profile relief in a 1985 design from Raphael Maklouf. This portrait is the third-generation bust of the Queen to feature on British coins during her reign. The effigy of Her Majesty is set within an oval-shaped, crowned frame. Above are inscriptions of St. Helena, 10 Pound, and the year of mintage. Below the portrait are inscriptions of 10 oz, Fine Silver 999, and HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The reverse of St. Helena East India Company 10 oz Silver Coin comes with a depiction of a double-mast sailing ship of the East India Company. It is shown sailing the ocean with inscriptions of The East India Company London present in the upper third portion of the coin.
