Texas Precious Metals offers bullion investors an accurate way to measure the purity of metal in a bullion bar, coin, or round with the Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier. Bullion collectors can obtain peace of mind knowing that the Verifier will provide a detailed analysis, ensuring that the bullion they purchased matches the metallic characteristics promised by the manufacturer or mint. The Verifier can be used with a variety of metals and reads the purity of the metal, ignoring coatings or plating. In addition, in most cases, it can analyze through plastic cases and bags to eliminate the need for removing valuable coins from protective packaging.
A clear benefit to using the Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier is that collectors will not need to devote much time to the testing process. The Verifier can assess a sample in as little as one second and the test does not affect the coin or bar in any way. The Verifier is a way to test the metal without utilizing harsh chemicals or scrapings that might cause physical damage to the sample. Rather, it uses electromagnetic waves that penetrate deeply into the item to verify the main metal content. Due to the cutting edge technology used in the machine, the Verifier is not confused by protective packaging or any plating or surface features, allowing investors to get the most accurate result possible.
The Verifier is adaptable for different sized samples from one gram to one ounce. The products largest sensor is in the main housing and can be used for large samples such as one-ounce bars and coins. To measure smaller items, the Verifier utilizes external wands that connect to the main unit. The larger of the two wands can be used for coins weighing between a ¼ ounce and one-ounce; the smaller wand can be used for even smaller bullion products such as a one-gram bar, 1/10 ounce coins, or other similarly sized bullion products. The Verifier uses new wand technology that penetrates the surface of gold and silver bars to a depth of 2 mm.
The Verifier can detect the following metals and levels:
Gold - pure gold (999+), 22K gold, 90% gold, American Eagle coins, Krugerrand coins, and 98.6% metals.
Silver - pure silver (99.99% and 99.9%), sterling silver, 90% silver, Britannia silver
The Verifier is user-friendly and easy for any investor to operate. To begin, investors need to adjust the Verifier’s receptor to the anticipated metal on the center of the bar display screen. The bar display shows different brackets that match the expected range of the selected metal. Each bullion product produces a unique reading on the Verifier, with even a small variance in the sample resulting in a difference in the readings. For example, if a user selects pure silver as the metal and pure silver is placed on the sensor, a value within the brackets will match. Any other sample with a similar weight would fall outside the range and an arrow would appear on the bar display if the actual reading doesn’t match the expected metal content.
The Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier is an affordable tool, very durable, and easy to maintain. As an added bonus, its portable size and long battery life make it easily transportable. It is a great addition to any avid bullion investor’s collection.
